How to Use for Genealogy Research
Japan Search is a cross-search service for Japan’s cultural and knowledge information, operated by the National Diet Library. It lets you search across libraries, museums, art museums, public archives, and more in one place—making it efficient for finding historical documents, photographs, maps, and materials related to ancestors.
Service Overview
Officially launched in 2023. Provides cross-search access to digital archives from the NDL, National Archives, National Cultural Heritage Organization, broadcasting archives, university libraries, and more.
