MynaPortal allows online requests for koseki certificates using your My Number Card. Overseas descendants with a Myna Card can submit requests to Japanese municipal offices without visiting in person.
Service Overview
Japan’s official government online portal, operated by the Digital Agency. Since 2023, online koseki certificate requests are available for participating municipalities.

- Koseki Tōhon/Shōhon (full/individual copy)
- Jokoseki Tōhon/Shōhon (removed register copies)
- Kaiseigenkoseki Tōhon/Shōhon (pre-revision copies)
- Koseki no Fuhyō (address history extract)
Requirements
- My Number Card (Myna Card) required
- NFC smartphone or PC with IC card reader
- Participating municipalities only
