How to Use for Genealogy Research
This online service lets you view real estate and corporate registration information from your browser. For genealogy, you can check current registration records and historical ownership (listed in the “Ko-ku” section) to trace where ancestors lived and what property they owned.
Service Overview
Operated by the MINJI HŌMU Association (authorized by the Ministry of Justice), this service provides online access to registration information in PDF format. Note: these are reference documents, not official certified copies.
Available Information
- Real estate registration (land and buildings): ownership, mortgages, etc.
- Commercial/corporate registration: company officers, addresses, etc.
- Maps and diagrams: cadastral maps (kōzu), building diagrams

Free registration required. Pay per view using credit card or other payment methods.
